The release of Unity is quickly approaching!
Over the coming weeks, the Aion Staking Interface will be released, public delegation to validators will begin, and the Unity upgrade will take place. The introduction of Unity changes the underlying security model and the structure of block production on The Open Application Network. This change introduces new participants, capital requirements, incentives, and security objectives for the network. As such, changes to Aion’s economic design are required to support this new structure and the network’s security objectives.
We are excited to release the Aion Economic Overview. This document outlines the changes to Aion’s economic design as part of the introduction of the Unity protocol.
